You will learn to create with raw wool, a natural material with unlimited creative and practical possibilities.
We offer courses for beginners and more experienced felters or other artisans.
Every course includes a short history of felting, felting techniques and information on different kinds of wool. Many examples will be shown.
Course description
- Beginner’s course: Introduction of the wet
felting technique and creations of a small project of your own choice.
- Second course: to experiment more extensively with the wet felting technique. Also learn about mixing with other fibres, color effects, layering, etc.. And eventually introducing a three-dimensional project,
- Third course: learning about other felting techniques like: Nuno felting, sculpted felting, very thin supple felt, perfecting three-dimensional objects.
- Special course on needle felting, a dry felting method with many possibilities. Making your own unique fabrics or pictures, three-dimensional objects or toys. Possibilities to combine dry and wet felting!
- Dyeing with animal fibres. Several courses about basic color dyeing: primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Special dyeing techniques like Shibori, Tye-dye, Rainbow dyeing and direct painting etc..
- Other courses adapted to your personal needs in advanced felting techniques.
