Bloomfelt workshops
Marjolein Dallinga (bloomfelt) has taught international felting for 15 years
The BLOOMFELT workshops are a discovery trail filled with many modeling experiences with different wools and other fibers. We will explore several techniques for shape sculpting ideas, with themes such as: folding and unfolding, creating relief, clamping and binding. All to better understand how and why we want to use this medium. These workshops are inspired by the idea that you have to allow yourself to discover new ways of creating with wool.
Let the wool make you feel things, then decide if it’s okay. We will play with the processes of shortening, thickening, tightening, shrinking and other transformations of the felted surfaces.
The focus will be on how color changes in the felting process and how different felting layouts and methods alter shapes and structures.

In 2024, Marjolein will be in Europe again to give training – felt workshops, first in the Netherlands from April 15 to 27 and then in France from May 9 to 15.
